Everything you need to know before joining an Eight8 experience

Booking an Eight8 experience is more than simply reserving a place, it is the beginning of a journey.

We believe you should have all the information you need to book with confidence, so we have brought together everything you will need in one place.

Booking Terms & Conditions

Our Booking Terms & Conditions are designed to make the booking process clear, transparent and straightforward.

They apply to all experiences, hosted journeys, workshops and events organised by Eight8 Experiences Ltd, trading as Eight8 and when partnered with The Buttery Dish, unless otherwise stated.

Eight8 Experiences Ltd may collaborate with carefully selected chefs, makers, guides, venues, wellness practitioners and other creative partners to deliver our experiences. Where this happens, your booking remains with Eight8 Experiences Ltd unless we advise you otherwise.

By submitting a Booking Form and making payment, you are confirming that you have read and accepted our Booking Terms & Conditions.

Making a Booking

Your booking is confirmed once:

• We have received your completed Booking Form.

• Payment has been received in accordance with the payment arrangements for your chosen experience.

• You have received your Booking Confirmation email from Eight8.

Until your Booking Confirmation has been issued, your place cannot be guaranteed.

Payments

The investment and payment arrangements for each experience are detailed within the relevant Experience Brochure.

Booking Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total experience price is required to secure your booking.

Your deposit enables us to confirm arrangements with our carefully selected accommodation, venues and experience partners, and reserve your place on what is intentionally a small-group experience.

Your booking is confirmed once:

  • We have received your completed Booking Form.

  • We have received your booking deposit.

  • You have received your Booking Confirmation email from Eight8.

Until your Booking Confirmation has been issued, your place cannot be guaranteed.

Final Balance

The remaining balance is payable no later than 8 weeks before the experience departure date, unless otherwise stated within the Experience Brochure.

We'll send you a reminder before your balance payment is due, together with details of how to make payment.

All prices are quoted and payable in Pounds Sterling (GBP).

If you are booking from outside the United Kingdom, any exchange rate fluctuations, overseas transaction fees or bank charges are the responsibility of the guest.

What's Included

Each Experience Brochure clearly explains what is included within your booking.

Anything not specifically listed as included should be assumed to be at your own expense.

Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is required for all hosted travel experiences.

We recommend arranging your insurance as soon as your booking has been confirmed.

Changes or Cancellation by You

The payment and cancellation arrangements for each experience are outlined within the relevant Experience Brochure and Booking Confirmation.

If you need to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible in writing.

Your 50% booking deposit is non-refundable. Your final balance is due 2 months prior to your travel date and is non-refundable.

However, if we are able to resell your place, we will always do our very best to refund any monies recovered, less any unrecoverable costs already incurred.

As accommodation, experiences and services are arranged well in advance with our trusted partners, refunds cannot be guaranteed.

For this reason,  comprehensive travel insurance is required at the time of booking to protect you should you need to cancel your experience.

Changes by Eight8

Very occasionally, circumstances beyond our control may require us to amend an itinerary or cancel an experience.

Should this happen, we'll contact you as soon as reasonably possible and explain the options available to you.

Health & Accessibility

Please let us know on your booking form if you have any dietary requirements, allergies, mobility requirements or require additional support.

We will always do our very best to accommodate individual needs wherever reasonably possible.

Guest Responsibilities

We want every Eight8 experience to feel welcoming, relaxed and enjoyable for everyone.

We therefore ask all guests to treat fellow guests, hosts, our partners and the accommodation with kindness and respect throughout the experience.

Photography

During our experiences we may occasionally take photographs or short video clips for future marketing.

We will always ask your permission before using any identifiable images and will always respect your wishes if you'd prefer not to appear.

Privacy

Your personal information will only ever be used for administering your booking and delivering your experience.

Governing Law

These Booking Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Nothing within these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights.

We know that booking a hosted experience is an important investment.

That is why, we have taken care to put the right protections in place, so you can book with confidence.

Client Money Protection

For our hosted travel experiences, guest payments are held through our independent trust account with Serenity Trust.

Client monies are managed in accordance with the trust arrangements and released only when due to our approved suppliers, providing additional reassurance throughout the booking process.

Specialist Insurance

Eight8 Experiences Ltd maintains specialist insurance appropriate to the experiences we deliver, giving additional reassurance for both our guests and our business.

Carefully Chosen Partners

We work with trusted accommodation providers, venues, chefs, guides and creative partners who share our values of quality, professionalism and genuine hospitality.

Every experience is thoughtfully curated with the same care and attention we'd expect if we were travelling ourselves.
